Tim Aleman, CEO
With over 20 years of international experience dealing with counterinsurgency, anti terrorism and civil affairs operations from Northern Ireland to Afghanistan.
Tim’s forte is his previous working experience and understanding of the complicated security situation and as well as his extensive network. He also possesses superior interpersonal communication as well as public relation skills, which combined with his organizing capacity, enable him to perform his functions according to the requirements of the work environment and deal with any challenges in the course of his varied career.Tim has the ability to make optimum use of his substantial knowledge and skills in a judicious manner. His leadership and managerial skills in unison with his dynamism make him an asset to any organization and especially Tac-Sec.
Scott Moody Director of Operations:
With extensive experience conducting security and civil affairs operations in high threat environments for both the military and private sector, Scott leads the Tac-Sec operations team.
As a soldier he deployed on several overseas tours in the Former Yugoslavia and Afghanistan. In Kandahar, Afghanistan he was responsible for the operations of the Canadian Forces Civil Military Co-operations Teams throughout Kandahar, Afghanistan.
As a civilian security consultant he developed the security and population outreach (civil affairs) operations plan for several development projects including Canada’s largest development projects in Afghanistan.
His experience and innate ability to coordinate and organize in high threat and challenging environments allows him to ensure that Tac-Sec client’s needs are met in a way that maximizes value without compromising safety.
Inasio (Nash) Kim Director of Civil Affairs:
Nash is a subject matter expert in tribal affairs and has providing input and advice for NGO’s and the military in Afghanistan.
He has been working in the capacity of Task Manager for the Sustainability-Public Outreach and Community Development Component in Afghanistan for the Canadian government. The sustainability component encompasses Public Outreach Program, Local Resource Development Initiative, implementation of Family Livelihood Program focusing on Gender Empowerment and the Environmental Management Plan. His main responsibilities were to plan, design the implementation of the programs and also as monitoring, evaluation and reporting on the activities.
Prior to his position as the Sustainability Manager for the AIRP, Nash was with the Canadian Armed Forces for 17 years of which he served 15 years in the Airborne Infantry with his last 2 years as a CIMIC/Civil Affairs officer and deployed to Kandahar Afghanistan and worked in Panjawai involved in reconstruction, development and governance support in the district in a very austere environment.
Melanie Masson Director of Communication:
Melanie holds a Masters Degree in Professional Communications from the University of Western Sydney, Australia where she focused on global communications practices. She also has a post-graduate certificate in Corporate Communications from Seneca College, Toronto and an Honours BA degree in Communications Studies from Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo.
Melanie started her career in Telecommunications Consumer Marketing in Australia, as the campaign coordinator, she developed and managed consumer programs and provided detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations at program completion for such brands as BlackBerry, Palm, Vodafone and O2.
From here, Melanie moved to Veritas Communications, a North American public affairs and public relations agency specializing in corporate communications and relations as the business development coordinator. Winning such accounts as the Agency of Record for the Ontario Government Agency Review Board, Barclay’s Financial, Plan Canada and sanofi-aventis, Melanie managed and drove the execution of all new business opportunities. Working with the senior level executive team, she developed integrated development strategies and tactics that successfully met the corporate objectives.
Most recently, Melanie focused on influencer relations at Rogers Communications Canada's largest provider of wireless voice and data communications services. As a communications specialist, she focused on building and maintaining relationships with online influencers as well as issues, brand and reputation management. She played an integral role in increasing Rogers’s online share of voice and improving the overall corporate reputation.
Corey Girdwood IT Manager:
Corey graduated from TriOS College with a diploma in Network Engineering, as well as certifications in the top network, server and security programs including; Microsoft, Linux, BlackBerry , CompTIA. Corey’s technological experience is not limited to his education.
As the IT Manager of a successful computer repair business, he provided expert hardware and software knowledge to clients as well as managed a team of technicians. His focus was on the preparing and set-up of various LAN and WAN networks, tech support troubleshooting and running diagnostics on various hardware and software platforms.
Prior to this, Corey owned a successful web and graphic design company, where he designed, hosted and maintained interactive online properties for medium to large sized international clients from a variety of industries including; manufacturing, construction, hospitality, online sales, and retail.
